John Pawson Series
Comprising a dining table, bench, low table,
chair, shelf and screen, the John Pawson
Series for Banlan draws on the same spatial
preoccupations and cultural inspirations
that shaped his original bench and table
designs for the specialist Chinese furniture
company. Realised in a palette of lacquered
walnut, stained walnut, white marble,
jade marble and lacquered parchment,
the collection holds a contemporary lens
to traditional Chinese forms and details,
with each composition stripped back
to a condition of dynamic geometric clarity.
