Jiandu Outdoor Furniture
This collection of outdoor furniture developed from the idea of creating simple forms fabricated from continuous ribbons of bamboo. Its design draws inspiration from the precedents of the early C20th American Adirondack chair and of bentwood furniture. In homage to the heritage of the material, the collection’s name, Jiandu, derives from the bamboo and wooden slips used as an ancient Chinese medium for writing, before the invention of paper.
