Barn
In 1994 the photographer Fi McGhee
bought a derelict eighteenth century
Dutch barn in the Essex countryside
and engaged John Pawson to convert
it into a studio and home for her family
and horse. Barn documents the
five-year process of deconstruction,
reconstruction and renovation that
culminated in Tilty Barn.
