Vistas and vanishing points in Texas
One of the defining characteristics of a space is the way the eye travels within it. Each of these photographs taken on a recent trip to Marfa is ordered around a central, attenuated vista — variously more open or more contained, whether by landscape or architecture — through which the eye moves unimpeded.
