Triptych
These County Donegal seascapes
are experienced differently in their
mediated and unmediated forms.
The triptych of rectangular openings
in the walls of this abandoned lookout,
close to the Fanad Head Lighthouse,
has the unexpected effect of underscoring
the scale of the ocean horizon, even as
it rhythmically fractures the field of view
into vertical sections.
