‘The home should be the treasure chest of living’. Le Corbusier
Located near the old port area of Tel Aviv, the new Obumex showroom has been designed to evoke the feel and intimacy of a home. Replacing the multiple kitchen installations of conventional showrooms is a layout organised around a single kitchen, a living space with library shelves and a dining room. Throughout, items of Danish furniture sit naturally alongside a bench and coffee table created for the project by John Pawson and a curation of other Pawson designs, including the Cocoon kitchen tap and column basin, Wonderglass pendant lights and pieces from When Objects Work.
