The clarity of distance
'I am always mesmerized by the view from a plane window. Places and structures that might be of little visual interest from the ground acquire formal clarity and gravitas with the benefit of height and distance. I was intrigued here by the evidence of human industry – Which I assume is a thermal solar plant – so far from anywhere, in the middle of the Mojave Desert.'
