Relativity
The eye makes judgements about scale
based on relativity. In these aerial images
of the vast Tokyo cityscape, we make
instinctive assumptions about the size of
the smaller buildings — even though they
are many storeys high — because of the
dizzying extent to which they are dwarfed
by other taller structures.
