As work on the visitor chapel at the
Abbey of Novy Dvur enters its final stages,
the dialogues embedded within its form
and fabric are already manifest: in the
counterpointing of crisp lines with sinuous
curves, of immaculate surface planes with
rustic courses of irregular stone and of the
interior play of direct sunlight with the
