In search of white
Successive extractions have hewn cathedral-like galleries deep inside the Jennwand mountain in the South Tyrol. Every surface — walls, ceiling and floor — is formed of the same white marble, streaked with pale grey. The incidental consequence of industrial processes, it is an ultimate expression of the idea of using a single material seamlessly.
