‘In nature we never see anything isolated, but everything in connection with something else…’ Goethe

Designing a bridge is always about more than making a new physical connection between two points. You want to create atmosphere within the structure itself,
to make the most of the new sightlines
you are opening up and to create an exciting new contextual composition. Developed for a recent competition in Munich, this river crossing is designed
for maximum formal clarity. Three slender columns support an attenuated arc that curves once in elevation and once in plan, traversing the water in generous spans.
