Frames and portals
Elevated vantage points above Meran in
the South Tyrol provide a visually exhilarating, layered panorama of valleys and Alpine peaks. When a prospect is this wide, the tendency of the eye is to keep moving. Overlay a section of the view with architecture and you compress what was previously diffuse, giving the eye a place to rest and allowing previously unregistered details to come into focus.
