John Pawson

On May 1, nearly ten years after the
consecration of the cloister and four
years after the blessing of the
guesthouse, the completion of another
component of the monastic city at Nový
Dvůr was marked by a simple ceremony
of dedication. The mustard and face
cream produced in these workshops
makes a vital contribution to the
community’s economic independence,
self-sufficiency being a concept
