Plain Space Exhibition

The inaugural exhibition of the newly created Fondazione Bisazza, this second iteration of Plain Space examined the full range of the work, from the first interiors of the early 1980s, through landmark commissions such as the Sackler Crossing and the Abbey of Our Lady of Nový Dvůr, to projects on site during the lifecycle of the show. A new site-specific 1:1, based on pure geometric forms, exploited Bisazza’s mastery of the medium of glass mosaic. The installation drew on the tradition of using tiles of graded colour to convey nuances of light and shade, here as a means to change the way the three-dimensional form would read.
