Perspectives arrives at the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice

The crated hemisphere and lens are brought to the island of San Giorgio by boat and conveyed into the Basilica, where they are unpacked and installed below the central point of the cupola. Time is taken to ensure that the surface of the hemisphere is absolutely horizontal, but nothing can be done to correct the reality that the cupola itself is not quite plumb.
